Fidonisi island Nea Iraklitsa, Kavala, Eastern Macedonia, Greece

The island is privately owned and located opposite to Nea Iraklitsa beach, one of the largest and prettiest in eastern Macedonia, a well-known summer destination for the locals. The island’s road distance from Kavala (and the city’s in ternational airport) is only 2 km and from Thessaloniki 150 km. The surface of the island is 165,000 square meters. Near the coast there are marine areas with shallow and deep water, easily accessible, with interesting and vibrant sea bed, ideal for snorkeling, and pristine areas suitable for recreational fishing. It has 3 to 4 small beaches on the east and north side where the water is shallow and the sea depth starts from 0 feet. Opposite the shore of Iraklitsa there are caves at sea level. There is also a small natural harbor, which is occasionally used by local fishermen. The onshore part of the island is now minimally accessible with small and rough trails, while there are areas suitable for development, where
the slope is smooth. In these areas road construction is possible at relatively low cost.
